Gemalto announces the availability of SafeNet Luna 6.1. SafeNet Luna 6.1 is maintenance release and recommended for all customers who have adopted SafeNet Luna version 6.0.

What’s new and important in this release?

–          Support for Solaris, HP-UX and AIX Luna clients has been provided

–          New algorithm support including:

• GMAC (UK AMI requirement)
• SM3 Hashing (Chinese market requirement)
• ECDH (enables DeriveKey and Wrap operations as a single function, greatly improving performance)

–          Radius Authentication

–          Product fixes:

• HA improvement in terms of auto-recovery (restored HA member will be recovered even if no crypto operations are performed)
• Multiple STC and PPSO related issues have been resolved
• Additional fixes …

The 6.1 release is available via the HSM Downloads page on the SafeNet Support Portal and is listed as a current recommended version.
