Customer Release Notes Available for SafeNet ProtectApp v8.7 for JCE, .NET, and ICAPI

Customer release notes for SafeNet ProtectApp v8.7 for JCE, .NET, and ICAPI are now available for download. These releases include the following enhancements:

SafeNet ProtectApp v8.7 JCE

Algorithm enhancements

  • Key Wrapping of AES/HMAC keys using PKCSv2.1/SHA256/SHA384/SHA512
  • Encryption/Decryption using RSA/PKCS1OAEP/SHA256/SHA384/SHA512 in remote mode.
  • Adding Support of EC keys. Support Sign/Verification in remote mode.

Web Services

    • Encryption/Decryption using RSA/PKCS1OAEP/SHA256/SHA384/SHA512 in remote mode.
    • Support for different Encoding type for input value in Sign/Verify API’s.

  • APIs to allow modify group permissions for a key.
