MobilePASS 8.4.2 for Windows desktop- Release Update

We would like to advise you that an updated version of MobilePASS Version 8.4.2 for Windows desktop is available on the SafeNet Support Portal (DOW3451).

New Features and Enhancements

    • This is a maintenance release

    • Note that the following issue is now resolved:

    •MPGA-1020 When installing MobilePASS .msi file on a Windows 64bit operating system, after SAC was installed, the application shortcut was invalid

Authentication Server Compatibility

MobilePASS 8.4.2 for Windows is supported on the following SafeNet Authentication solutions:

    • SafeWord Premier Access, 3.2.1.06 and later*

    • SafeWord 2008/ SafeNet Authentication Manager Express,8.1 and later

    • SafeNet Authentication Manager, 8.0 and later

    • SafeNet Authentication Service PCE/SPE 3.3.2

    • SafeNet Authentication Service Cloud

Upgrade Advisory

    • Upgrade of already activated tokens from existing version of the application to these latest versions of MobilePASS is supported.
    • For SafeWord Premier Access (SPA) 3.2.1.06 and later customer please refer to the ‘Upgrading MobilePASS’ section in the CRN before upgrading.

Reminder:

    • MobilePASS 8.4 is no longer supported on XP. XP users should continue using the previous version, MobilePASS 8.3.8 for Windows Desktop. A note was added to the CRN with more information.
    • Vista users should continue using the previous version, MobilePASS 8.3.8 for Windows Desktop.
    • MobilePASS 8.3.8 is available for download from the Support portal.
