StorageSecure 1.5.19 released (CIFS/SMB2 customers)

We are pleased to announce the release of StorageSecure 1.5.19. This version continues to augment our feature set for CIFS/SMB2 customers. NTLM2 support has been completed. This release also offers support for NetApp 8.2.3P3 (7-mode).

To ensure that file servers and Windows Domain Controllers have a verified protocol-level communication path to the StorageSecure appliance(s), an out-of-band  (OOB) monitor has been added. This independent trouble shooting tool runs in the background.

Enhancing the resilience of StorageSecure, this release includes Proxy Loopback Monitoring (PLM) for VIP Loss Detection/Correction. PLM is used to monitor, detect and correct a VIP loss – loss of file access between client and server. This prevents instances where the loss of the VIP goes undetected, causing issues and customer down time. A reboot will correct this VIP loss condition where proxy is involved.

Note that NFS customers should continue to use version 1.4.84.
