We’d like to inform you that SafeNet Authentication Service Agent for Outlook Web App (OWA) Version 1.08 is now available for download from the Gemalto Support Portal (DOW4068 – SafeNet Authentication Service OWA Agent, Build 1.08). This release introduces new features, resolves several issues, and enhances security.

NOTE: With the release of Exchange Server 2010, Microsoft changed the name of Outlook Web Access to Outlook Web App. Gemalto is aligning with this convention and has renamed the SAS Agent “SAS Agent for Outlook Web App” (SAS Agent for OWA).

New Features and Enhancements:

• Security Enhancements: Hardening of the directory permissions level.

• Additional Browser Support: Safari and Microsoft Edge have been added to the list of supported browsers.

Platform Compatibility

SAS Agent for OWA V. 1.08 is applicable to SAS Cloud and SAC PCE 3.3.2 and 3.4.

Upgrade Information

Note that automatic upgrade from earlier versions of SAS Agent for OWA to version 1.08 is not supported. In order to maintain configuration continuity between versions, we recommend that before installing the SAS Agent for OWA 1.08, you save and export the configuration from the older version. You will then be able to import these settings into the new installation. A detailed explanation of this process is available on page 5 of the CRN.
