Customer Release Notes Available for StorageSecure 1.03 (Build 20 and 38)

Customer Release Notes (CRNs) for the following releases are now available on the SafeNet Support Portal:

StorageSecure, Version 01.03, Build 20 (PN: 007-012278-001 Rev D) This release is the November, 2013 GA release for the StorageSecure appliance. This release contains the following components:

  • StS s220 1G Build: safenet-sts-01.03.20-I.upk
  • StS s280 10G Build: safenet-sts-01.03.20-X.upk

This release supports the following network links:

  • 1 GbE NIC in the Model s220 appliance
  • 1 GbE or 10 GbE NIC in the Model s280 appliance
  • 10/100/1000 out-of-band Admin port

StorageSecure, Version 01.03, Build 38 (PN: 007-012453-001, Rev. A) This release is the January, 2014 GA release for the StorageSecure appliance. This release contains the following components:

  • StS s220 1G Build: safenet-sts-01.03.38-I.upk
  • StS s280 10G Build: safenet-sts-01.03.38-X.upk

This release supports the following network links:

  • 1 GbE NIC in the Model s220 appliance
  • 1 GbE or 10 GbE NIC in the Model s280 appliance
  • 10/100/1000 out-of-band Admin port

As new GA releases are posted to the Support Portal, they become the release that is recommended be used for new deployments. Typically, unless there are specific reasons to do so, it is neither necessary nor advised to immediately upgrade an existing production deployment to the latest GA release.

Note: Do not start any upgrade without first reading the Firmware Upgrade section of the Customer Release Notes. Failure to fully understand and adhere to the recommendations provided in that section could cause the irretrievable loss of previously encrypted data. Please contact the SafeNet Support Team should you need assistance.

Note: See the Advisory Notes and Resolved & Known Issues sections in the Customer Release Notes for any limitations and/or restrictions that may have changed since the previous releases and that may affect your configuration or environment.
