Gemalto announces the availability of SafeNet Luna v6.2. SafeNet Luna v6.2 provides significant operational benefits to FIPS 140-2 Level 3 (PED Authenticated) HSMs and is the recommended release for all customers who have adopted SafeNet Luna version 6.
What’s new and important in this release?
- Enhanced PED support with the ability to parallelize PED operations simultaneously with other operations. For example, parallelized PED operations allow you to create new partitions or perform backups while cryptographic operations on being performed on a different partition.
- Derive Templates which provide additional security by restricting important attributes in the resulting derived key.
- Unwrap Templates which provide additional security by assigning an unwrapped key the attribute values specified in the template
- Partition Policy Templates can be created, edited, and assigned to new application partitions enabling administrative control over which partition policies changes should be destructive/non-destructive
- Continued High Availability improvements
