New IDPrime MD Smart Cards

We are pleased to announce the release of two new IDPrime MD smart cards. This is another exciting step in bringing together the core competencies of SafeNet Authentication Client with Gemalto smart cards.

IDPrime MD 3810

The IDPrime MD 3810 is a dual-interface smart card that allows for communication via a contact interface or contactless using NFC. SafeNet Authentication Client 10.1 extends the compatibility of these smart cards to any type of application in Windows environments.

    • Plug and Play with Windows
    • Cryptographic algorithms:

    o Symmetric: 3DES (ECB, CBC), AES (128, 192, 256 bits)
    o Hash: SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512
    o RSA: up to RSA 2048 bits
    o RSA OAEP & RSA PSS
    o Elliptic curves: P-256, P-384, P-521 bits, ECDSA, ECDH
    o On-card asymmetric key pair generation
    • Fully supported by SafeNet Authentication Manager for centralized management control

Middleware Support

    • Fully supported by SafeNet Authentication Client

IDPrime MD 3840

IDPrime MD 3840 is a dual-interface smart card, allowing communication either via a contact interface or via a contactless ISO14443 interface, also compatible with the NFC standard. The new Regulation on Electronic Identification and Trust Services for Electronic Transactions in the Internal Market (eIDAS) is the European Regulation created to ensure a safe way for businesses, governments and citizens to do business online and includes rules for electronic signatures. The IDPrime MD 3840 meets the Common Criteria (CC) certification pre-requisite for qualified digital signatures under eIDAS.

    • Compliant with eIDAS regulations—IDPrime MD 3840 is CC EAL5+ / PP QSCD certified offering state-of-the art security and is fully compliant with European eIDAS regulations. Its java platform is also CC EAL5+ / PP Java Card certified.
