Luna HSM v7.8.5 and Universal Client v10.7.2 Now Available 

Thales is pleased to announce that Luna HSM v7.8.5 (SW 7.8.5/ UC 10.7.2) is now available to download on the Thales Customer Support Portal.  

New Features and Enhancements 

This latest release focuses on operational streamlining, which includes: 

  • Clustering and keyrings are now GA for new use cases, (NOTE: not available for migration) 
  • LACP and Broadcast network bonding mode support to improve high availability 
  • Protect audit log integrity and confidentiality during transport to a remote log server   
  • Expanded HSM configuration backup file size to accommodate very large client deployment 
  • Various bug fixes. 

Important note:  

This upgrade package includes FIPS 140-3 level 3 certified firmware 7.8.4. Customers that already installed 7.8.7 firmware should stay at 7.8.7. If you install this package, it will only update the appliance software to 7.8.5. Customers who install this package first and want to upgrade to firmware 7.8.7, can upgrade to firmware 7.8.7 if desired after installing this package. 7.8.7 is not FIPS certified and primarily for customers with specific crypto asset requirements. The Customer Release Notes indicate all valid upgrade paths if more information is required.
