Release of SafeNet ProtectV 4.1.1 and SafeNet ProtectV 2.0.8

We are pleased to announce the release of SafeNet ProtectV 4.1.1.  This latest release extends SafeNet ProtectV’s platform support. In addition, we have also released a new version of SafeNet ProtectV 2.0.8.

SafeNet ProtectV 4.1.1. includes the following enhancements:

  • Support for Windows Server Clusters
    • SafeNet ProtectV 4.1.1 adds support for protection of instances in Windows Server clusters.
    • Support for MS SQL Server Clusters
      • SafeNet ProtectV 4.1.1 extends support for protection of MS SQL Server clusters.
      • Support for UEFI Booting on Linux
        • This release extends support for protection of Linux instances booted into the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) mode.
        • Support for SLES 12 SP2
          • SafeNet ProtectV 4.1.1 adds support for protection of instances running SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 12 SP2.
          • Support for RHEL 7.3
            • SafeNet ProtectV 4.1.1 extends support for protection of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.3 instances on AWS and VMware.

SafeNet ProtectV 2.0.8

We are pleased to announce the following security and operating system enhancements to SafeNet ProtectV 2.0.8.

  • Updated SafeNet ProtectV StartGuard
    • Updated SafeNet ProtectV StartGuard to support Windows Physical Servers and new AWS instance types.
    • Updated SafeNet ProtectV Manager OS
      • Updated SafeNet ProtectV Manager operating system for security enhancements.
      • Added support for the following clients for VMware and AWS:
        • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.2, 64-bit
        • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 11.4, 64-bit
        • CentOS Linux 7.2, 64-bit
        • CentOS Linux 6.7, 64-bit
        • Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
