SafeNet KeySecure v 8.7.0 GA Announcement
Gemalto is pleased to announce the release of SafeNet KeySecure version 8.7.0, which is now available for the following physical appliances:
- SafeNet KeySecure k460 (R320 and R330 chassis)
- SafeNet KeySecure k450 (R320 and R330 chassis)
- SafeNet KeySecure k250
Virtual deployments are also available through SafeNet Virtual KeySecure.
This release is compatible with the following SafeNet Data Protection Connectors: ProtectFile 8.7.0, ProtectDB 8.7.0, ProtectApp 8.7.0, ProtectV, and Tokenization Manager 8.7.0. Older versions of the Connectors are also expected to work with SafeNet KeySecure 8.7.0.

Below is a summary of features new to SafeNet KeySecure in the 8.7.0 release:
Support of Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA): SafeNet KeySecure now supports ECDSA. Using this algorithm you can create export, import, and sign verify the keys.
Support for the Configuration of a Distinguished Name (DN) Attribute for Local Administrators: Configuration of a Distinguished Name (DN) attribute for Local Administrators is now available through the GUI and the CLI.
Support PKCS#1 v2.1 for key wrapping of AES-256 and HMAC Keys: This release supports PKCS#1 v2.1 for Key Wrapping of AES-256 and HMAC Keys.
