SafeNet Luna HSM firmware 7.3.3 is now FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated (cert#3205). This is important if you require FIPS validation with use cases such as BYOK and Secure Manufacturing. You can generate strong private keys on the HSM and set partition policies to allow those keys to be exported.

Firmware 7.3.3 is recommended if you require FIPS validated HSMs. Firmware 7.3.3 is a field update for SafeNet Luna Network and PCIe HSMs, and is available for download on the Thales Support Portal (SafeNet Luna Network HSM 7 (DOW0003831) CRN (DOW0003214) | SafeNet Luna PCIe HSM 7 (DOW0003833) CRN (DOW0003215).
