After much anticipation, we are excited to announce all Thales CN Series Encryptors have achieved FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certification to reflect the newest firmware upgrade to, 5.1.1. This is a significant achievement and we congratulate the Thales certification team!

The CN4010, CN4020, CN6010, CN040, CN6100, CN6140, CN9100, and CN9120 were put through functional testing and structured code review by a nationally accredited laboratory to confirm the product complies with the claimed level of security.

The FIPS award and our work to gain other certifications including CC EAL4+ and UC APL, reinforces Thales’ commitment to providing our customers with tried and tested high-assurance offerings.

The 5.1.1 firmware release is offered free of charge to all Thales HSE customers from the Thales Support Portal.
